In January 2022, Black Diamond’s photo editor asked if I had time between ski shoots to shoot some new rain gear that would be released later in the spring. Rain is the norm in Vancouver through the winter, but photographing it and experiencing it are two different things.
I brought in flash photography to accentuate the rain’s presence in the images across a variety of looks, to cover technical emergency shells and everyday adventurer jackets.
